In this post I’d like to share my favourite resources for getting great renters news and content.
For renters news, area guides and blogs for the latest on renting in London, I recommend the following sites and blogs:
The Rat and Mouse, Renthusiast, Rentergirl, Finapropertyblog, Zooplablog. These resources are fantastic for keeping up to date with property news in the London area and tips for looking for property.
There are some excellent resources on the web for finding out more about the area which you are thinking of renting in, and about the property in general.
Mouseprice tells you the market value of the property as well as how much it has sold for in the past so you know whether the rent you are paying is actually commensurate with the value of the property.
Police UK tells you a bunch of information on the crime rate of the area you are looking at and related statistics.
Upmystreet and Checkmyarea and Checkthearea provide good general area reports with local news, school ratings and property valuations.
FixmyStreet tell you reports of vandalism or other problems that have been reported in the local area.
Beerintheeveing gives you pub recommendations for your area of interest.
BroadbandMaps checks broadband coverage in your interested area. This is a MUST because internet is like air today, you need it to breathe (i.e. run your life)!
